Shooting Trachyandra

After planting out the indigenous vegetables with sun and animal protection in terms of a cover of Carissa (thorny) branches, and watering daily with rainwater and my recycled seedling sprinkler, the plants are doing well and the fleshy Trachyandra has just taken off with a bang, it even looks like an explosion. I've heard they are pioneers too.

The success of the indigenous green carpet vegetable plantings has been so heartwarming ! getting indigenous seeds to germinate is sometimes problematic, so using potted up plants is jumping many hurdles at once. The plants were nice and big, very cheap (like R20 and R5) from the Fynbos fair down at Muizeberg.
