opened Cupressus sempervirens cones
The seeds of the tall cypress, Cupressus sempervirens can be harvested by collecting closed cones and placing them in a box on the windowsill. In a few weeks the cones dry and open and shed the seeds. All you do is wait for them to drop out and shake the box if you want to.
